How to choose your faja size (so it holds without hurting)
Fajas run smaller than your clothing size. Measure your relaxed waist, check your hip, and size up when in doubt.
A good faja feels like a firm hug. A faja in the wrong size feels like a fight, and it ends up in a drawer.
Why your usual size does not work
Most fajas are cut smaller than clothing sizes. A faja XL is often closer to a clothing L. That is why we give the faja its own chart.
Measure this way
- Waist: the narrowest part, relaxed. Do not suck in. Keep one finger under the tape.
- Hip: the fullest part, feet together. This is your check.
- Pick the size that matches your waist. If your hip points to a bigger size, choose the bigger one for comfort.
Between sizes? Size up
Every faja brand we checked gives the same advice. Comfort is what makes you wear it.
What to look for
- An open gusset, so you do not have to take it off.
- A silicone hem that keeps the legs from rolling up.
- Firm hold at the tummy and lighter at the hips.
A faja smooths and holds. It does not change your body, and anyone who promises inches is selling you a story.

Questions
Do fajas run small?
Colombian-style fajas are usually cut about one size smaller than clothing sizes, so choose by your waist measurement, not your usual letter size.
Should I size down for more compression?
We do not recommend it. A faja that is too small rolls, pinches and gets worn less. Between sizes, size up.
How do I wash a faja?
Hand wash cold and lay flat. A mesh wash bag helps if you use the machine.
