Leggings that do not roll down: what actually makes the difference
Waistband height, width and the right size matter more than any "no-roll" label. Here is how to choose fleece-lined leggings that stay put.
If you pull your leggings up every time you stand, the problem is almost never your body. It is the waistband and the size.
Three things that keep leggings up
- A high rise that sits above your belly, not under it.
- A wide waistband that spreads the pressure instead of cutting in.
- The right size: too small pushes the waistband down.
Why fleece-lined is different
The brushed lining makes the fabric a little less stretchy. Choose by waist and hip, and size up when you are in between.
The two tests worth doing
- Bend and lift: pick up a kid or a grocery bag. The waistband should stay where it was.
- Squat in daylight facing a window: nothing should show through.

Questions
Why do my leggings roll down?
Usually a waistband that is too narrow or too low, or leggings one size too small, so the waistband gets pushed down when you sit or bend.
Should I size up in fleece-lined leggings?
Fleece lining stretches less than regular leggings, so if you are between sizes, size up.
How do I know they are not see-through?
Do a squat test in daylight facing a window. We do not call a legging see-through-proof until we have tested it ourselves.
